A Glimpse at the 4th English Language Conference of UPSI - Day 2 (Final)

Sorry guys for the late update. Ok, so on the second day of the conference, lots of our course mates were late in  getting their booths ready for exhibition. This was because, most of us had already fulfilled our tasks- to get enough people to fill in the evaluation forms for us. However, there were still some of us who went there early to get the booths ready.

The earliest person who came to visit our booths was Dr Hajah Azizah Atan, Senior Lecturer, The English Language and English Literature Department. She visited most of the booths and even asked to take pictures with us. To our surprise, a good friend of her, Miss Hasimah Jaafar who is also a Lecturer from the same department came to visit us too. She helped us to take some of the pictures. Thanks Miss Hasimah and Dr Azizah.

Then, an announcement came saying that all the students had to attend a lecture by Professor Rod Ellis at the Auditorium. Professor Rod Ellis gave a lecture on Educational Settings and the Acquisition of English as a Second Language. The lecture started from 9.00am  to 12.00pm.

After the lecture, we went back to the E-learning building to pack all our stuffs because we were told to clean up everything. Our exhibition had come to an end at 12.00pm. Some of us attended the closing ceremony. The closing ceremony was a simple one where our Dean, Associate Professor Dr Haji Azmi gave the closing speech and thanking all the people who had made the conference a success before declared the conference closed.

Another announcement was made where all semester 2 TESL students were asked to attend another lecture by Professor Rod Ellis on Focus on Form: A Discourse Perspective at the Auditorium from 9.00am to 12.00am on 9th of March 2011.

These are some of the pictures took on the second day of the conference:

Yours truly,
